General formula for area of triangle is
A=(h_bb)/(2).

Where:

  • h_b is height of triangle perpendicular to base side of triangle.

  • b is the length of base side of triangle.

Multiplying
h_b and
b results in rectangle, dividing that by 2 gives you area of a triangle.

Hope this helps.
