When meat is well cooked possibilities of contracting any disease that the animal might have had is nearly impossible.

When you stew meat the meat's flavour is in the soup hence it tastes better.

Nobody likes poorly done meat so you have to cook it well.

Cooking meat makes it softer/tender in the mouth.
