Can Negative numbers turn into Scientific Notation?

Answer: Yes, negative numbers can be written in scientific notation

Examples:

-1200 = -1.2 * 10^3

-1,897,000 = -1.897 * 10^6

We simply can ignore the negative at first, then convert to scientific notation (as you normally would with any positive number). Afterward, don't forget to put the negative back in.
