#1. Waves are created by the earth. When the earth moves a certain direction, then the waves will become heavier or lighter. Waves will travel through magnetic energy. The magnetic energy is formed when the earth spins at a fast pace.

#2. Scientists track waves and earthquakes by using an instrument called a seismograph. The seismograph tells the scientists where the waves and quakes are coming from and how damaging they will be.

#3. Earthquakes have damaged a lot of areas such as Nagqu, China. This earthquake happened two days ago and had damaged a lot of areas. Since it was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake, it would have been classified as pretty big for an earthquake.
