Unit vector along displacement vector

= R / I R I

= ( 2i + j + 3k ) / √ ( 2² + 1² + 3² )

= ( 2i + j + 3k ) / √ 14

Now force F acts in the direction of this unit vector . It is magnitude of 20 N

So this vector can be represented by the following expression

F = 20 [ ( 2i + j + 3k ) / √ 14 ]


F= (20)/(√(14) ) * ( 2i+j+3k)
