Answer:

By use of a piece of paper, a printing plate, or a press, printmaking is a process in where you add ink to a design or image in order to make a copy.

The two most popular forms of printing are Intaglio printmaking, a print where an image is printed from a recessed design either etched or incised onto the surface of a printing plate (like the common stamp), and relief printmaking, a design printed from a raised design on the surface of a block (like making a design out of wax on the driveway and then wetting the pavement to reveal your creation).

Answer:

The two main types of printmaking are Relief printing and Intaglio printing. Relief printing is done by outlining an image on a surface, and carving along the outline, then the artist applies the raised areas with ink, to be pressed on to a surface. Intaglio is the family of different printing and printmaking techniques in which the image is incised into a surface and the enclosed line or sunken are hold the ink and its the opposite of a relief print.
