Let h represent the height of the pyramid

Volume of a pyramid is given by


V = (1)/(3) * area \: of \: base \: * height

Volume of pyramid = 84ft³

To find the height of the pyramid we must first find the area of the base

Since it's a square pyramid it's base is a square

Area of a square = l²

where l is the length of one side

l = 6feet

Area = 6² = 36ft²

So we have


84 = (1)/(3) * 36 * h

84 = 12h

Divide both sides by 12

h = 7 feet

The height of the pyramid is 7 feet
