Answer:

(2,-1)

Explanation:

Welol to find the line of (3,7) and (2,-1) we need to use the following formula,

(y^2-y^1)/(x^2-x^1)

So -1 is y2 7 is y1 so -1 - 7 = -8

2-3 = -1

Hence, the slope of the line is 8.

And graphing more points on the graph using the slope we can see the y intercept is -17.

So the equation is y = 8x - 17

And the mid point is at (2, -1)

Answer:

( 2.5 , 3 )

Explanation:

Let the points be A and B

A ( 3 , 7 ) --------> (x1 , y1 )

B ( 2 , -1 ) --------> ( x2 , y2 )

Finding the midpoint:

( (x1 + x2)/(2) </strong><strong>,</strong><strong> (y1 + y2)/(2) )

= ( (3 + 2)/(2) </strong><strong>,</strong><strong> \: (7 + ( - 1))/(2) )

= ( (5)/(2) </strong><strong>,</strong><strong> \: (7 - 1)/(2) )

= ( (5)/(2) </strong><strong>,</strong><strong>\: (6)/(2) )

= (2.5 </strong><strong>,</strong><strong>\: 3)

Hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment ....
