I used the Law of Cosines to find x = 56°.

Congruent sides implies congruent angles so Center-Q-R = 56°.

Triangle Sum Theorem results in y = 68°

Vertical angles results in S-Center-P = 68°

Triangle sum Theorem results in S-P-Center = 68°

Now we can see that alternate interior angles are congruent, therefore PQRS is a parallelogram. Diagonals are bisected at the intersection so a = 8
