Answer:

6 Inches

Explanation:

First Photograph

Length:Width = 24:18

Second Photograph

Let the unknown width =x

Length:Width = 8:x

Since the proportions of the two photographs are the same

8:x=24:18\\\\(8)/(x)= (24)/(18)\\\\24x=8 * 18\\\\x=(8 * 18) / 24\\\\x=6$ inches

The width of the photograph is 6 inches.
