Beth and Ben work together in a store. The expression 12h + 50 represents the

amount of money Beth earns, and the expression 14h - 20 represents the amount of
money that Ben earns. The variable h represents hours worked, and the integers
represent dollar amounts. Find an expression that gives the total amount of money
earned by Beth and Ben when they work together for h hours.

Answer:

26h + 30

Explanation:

First, I added the expressions together, simply 12h + 50 + 14h - 20

Second, I put the like terms next to each other, and got 12h + 14h + 50 - 20

Third, I combined them to get my final answer, 26h + 30

Hope this helps ;)

Answer:

26h + 30

Explanation:

Summing up the two earning amounts, we get:

12h + 50 + 14 h - 20,

which simplifies to

26h + 30

This is the total dollar amount earned, where h is the number of hours worked by both people.
