If f(x) = 2x squared + 1, what is f(x) when x = 3?

Explanation:

pemdas (parentheses exponents multiplication division addition, and subtraction), basically you solve the equation in that order so 2*3^2+1 since there is no parentheses you go to exponents which would be 3^2 which is 9 so 2*9+1 then multiplication and/ or division which in this case we have division so 2*9= 18 and then lastly addition and/ or subtraction which we have addition so 18+1= 19 therefore f(x)=19
