Explanation:

slope = (6 - -9)/(-8 - 6) = 15/-14

y = mx + b

6 = -15/14(-8) + b

6 = 60/7 + b

b = -18/7

y = -15/14x - 18/7

15/14x + y = -18/7, multiply everything by 14

15x + 14y = -18
