Answer:

2x + y = - 5

Explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

Here m = - 2 and (a, b) = (- 1, - 3 ) , thus

y - (- 3) = - 2(x - (- 1)), that is

y + 3 = - 2(x + 1) ← distribute

y + 3 = - 2x - 2 ( add 2x to both sides )

2x + y + 3 = - 2 ( subtract 3 from both sides )

2x + y = - 5
