Decide if Y=3x-9 and Y=4x-9 have many solutions, one solution, or no solutions.

3x-9=4x-9
Take the numbers together and the variables together so you’ll get -9+9=0 and 4x-3x =1x or x so x is equals to zero then substitute the zero on both of the equations to get Y= -9
So the answer it has one solution which is -9 at Y and so it’s considered 1 cause (0,9) and 0 is not a solution.

Explanation:

Well first we need to solve the rowing eqation by combining like terms and separating x.


3x - 9 = 4x - 9

So let’s do -3x

-9 = x -9

+9

x = 0.

So if x is 0 we can plug that in one of the equations.

y = 4(0) - 9

y = -9

So the solution where the 2 lines meet is at (0,-9)
