Answer:
Differences between Exocrine and Endocrine Glands are as follows:
Exocrine Glands:
- Exocrine Glands are the glands that secrete their products ( excluding harmones and other chemical messengers) into ducts (duct gland) which lead directly into the external environment.
- They are closer to the target cells.
- Their secretion remains inside the duct and reach the target cells directly.
- Their secretions are called Enzymes.
- Examples: pancreas , salivary glands etc.
Endocrine Glands:
- Endocrine Glands are the glands of endocrine system that secrete their products, harmones directly into the blood rather than through a duct.
- They may be far from the target cells.
- Their secretion pass to all parts of the body but show effect on the target cells only.
- Their secretion are called harmones.
- Example: pituitary gland , Testes etc.
