Explanation:

John : Peter = 2 : 1

John/peter = 2/1

John = 2 Peter.... (1)

Amos : John = 4:3

Amos/John = 4/3

Amos = 4/3 John.. (2)

From (1) & (2)

Amos = 4/3 * 2 Peter = 8/3 Peter.... (3)

Since,

Amos + John + Peter = 51000

Therefore,

8/3 Peter + 2peter + Peter = 51000

(8+6+3)/3 *Peter = 51000

17/3 * Peter = 51000

Peter = 51000 * 3/17

Peter = 3000 * 3

Peter = 9000

Hence, amount received by Peter is Sh. 9000.
