Answer:

x=6

Explanation:

4x-4=2x+8

Get all x's to one side. Subtract 2x from both sides.

2x-4=8

Isolate x. Add 4 to both sides.

2x=12

Divide both sides by 2 to get x.

12/2=6

x=6
