So what I mean is:

(Base 1 Length + Base 2 Length)/2 = length of the median of a trapezoid

2. Identify:

Base 1: FC = 6x-6

Base 2: AD = 38

Median: EB = 7x-4

3. Substitute:

(Base 1 Length + Base 2 Length)/2 = length of the median of a trapezoid

(FC + AD)/2 = EB

(6x-6 + 38)/2 = 7x-4

4. Solve for x:

x = 5
