Answer:

x = 23

Explanation:

CB/2 = CU

CB = (2)CU

2x - 10 = (2)18

2x - 10 = 36

Add 10 on both sides.

2x = 46

Divide both sides by 2.

x = 23

Answer:

x = 23

Explanation:

CU + UB = CB

Since U is the midpoint that means CU = UB = 18

18+ 18 = 2x-10

36 = 2x-10

Add 10 to each side

36+10 = 2x

46 =2x

Divide by 2

23 = x
