A body of 100 g of mass moves with a constant speed of 20 m / s. At a given moment, a force of 50 N is applied to it, which is constantly held perpendicular to the direction of movement.

1).-The radius of the circular path described by the body .
2). The number of turns per second it will make. Help

Answer:

1) 0.8 m

2) 3.98 rev/s

Explanation:

1) Centripetal force:

F = mv²/r

50 N = (0.1 kg) (20 m/s)² / r

r = 0.8 m

2) Angular velocity:

ω = v/r

ω = (20 m/s) / (0.8 m)

ω = 25 rad/s

f = (25 rad/s) (1 rev / 2π rad)

f = 3.98 rev/s
