• Let y be the widht of this triangle and x the length of it

From the first information we can write :

3y-x=2

from the second one :

2y+2x= 92

so our equation are :

• 3y-x=2
• 2y+2x= 92

Multiply the first one by 2 then add it to the second one to get rid of x :

• 6y-2x= 4
• 2y+2x+6y-2x= 92+4
• 8y = 96
• y= 12
• replace y by 12 to calculate the value of x
• x= 34
