Answer:

I'm pretty sure it would be A, because it is the only answer that makes sense. The trials were a way to judge war criminals and basically condemn the behavior. They kind of did signify an end to war crimes. Not ALL war crimes around the globe, which is why I'm skeptical about it being A.
