Diagonals of rectangle bisects each other.so,

2 BE = BD

2( 3x - 8 ) = 32

6x - 16 = 32

Add 16 on both sides

6x - 16 + 16 = 32 + 16

Simplify

6x = 48

divide both sides of equation by 6

6x/6 = 48/6

calculate

X = 8
