How to find the gradient of line segment joining each pair of points?

A(xA, yA) = A (3,1)

B(xB,yB)=B(5,5)

the gradient=(yB-yA)/ (xB-xA)=(5-1)/(5-3)=4/2=2

C(4,7),D(10,9)

the gradient=(yD-yC)/(xD-xC)=(9-7)/(10-4)=2/6=1/3
