Answer:

The equation of the line is

y = (1)/(2) x - 4

Explanation:

Equation of a line is y = mx + c

where m is the gradient

c is the y intercept

Gradient = 1/2

Equation of the line using point ( 4 , -2) is

y + 2 = (1)/(2) (x - 4) \\ y + 2 = (1)/(2) x - 2 \\ y = (1)/(2) x - 2 - 2 \\ y = (1)/(2) x - 4

Hope this helps you
