Area of a circle = radius x radius x π (3.14) (have to remember this! Always!)
To find the radius, 16/2
So you get 8
Then calculate 8x8x3.14
And that equals 200.96

r x r x π = Area of a circle
8 x 8 x π = 200.96

Answer:

The area of the circle is 200.96.

Explanation:

Area for circle = πr^2

Based on the formula above, the area could be solved by mutiplying pi and radius squared.

1. We already have the diameter. We simply divide by 2 to get the radius.

16 / 2 = 8

8 is the radius.

2. Now we know 3.14 is the approximation for pi.

3. 3.14 x 8^2 = area

4. 8 x 8 = 64

5. 64 x 3.14

= 200.96

Therefore the answer to the area of the circle is 200.96.

Have an awesome day ~
