Answer:

The Constitution of the United States has the primary purpose of establishinig the nature and functions of the United States Federal and State government.

The Constitution also has the purpose of establishing the rights that people living the United States have.

The Constitution has been reviewed many times throughout history. This is why it has been amended 27 times. As the world changes, and the needs of the country change as well, the Constitution needs to be kept in continuous revision in case it needs even more amendments in the future.
