When finding slope, you can follow the listed formula :


(rise)/(run)

Now what does this mean? Rise is talking about the length for the y axis, while run is talking about the length for the x axis.

So what you want to do is find two points on the line that touch an actual number and doesn't stop in the middle of a square. In this case, I see (0,4) and (3,1).

So now you want to see how many squares make up the distance for the two points, so move down and you count 3 squares to equal to (0,1), now try to find a way to get to (3,1). Move three squares to the right.

Now, since you moved 3 squares down on the y axis, you replace that with rise on the fraction.

Now since you moved 3 squares right on the x axis, you replace that with run on the fraction.
