Answer:

50

Option D is the correct option

Solution,

Let no.of ducks be X

Let no.of goats be y.

Total heads= X+y=80 ➡️ equation (i)

Total legs= 2x+4y=260➡️ equation (ii)

X= 80-y

2(80 - y) + 4y = 260 \\ or \: 160 - 2y + 4y = 260 \\ or \: 160 + 2y = 260 \\ or \: 2y = 260 - 160 \\ or \: 2y = 100 \\ or \: y = (100)/(2) \\ y = 50

Number of goats= 50

Hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment...

Explanation:

d-nr of ducks

g- nr of goats

2*d+4*g=260

d+g=80 /*(-2)

2d+4g=260

-2d-2g=-160

------------------

2g=100

g=100/2

g=50
