Answer: 1. -12x^2 + 48x - 48
2. -20x + 50
Explanation:
1.
-3(2x-4)^2
= -3(4x^2 - 2(2)(4) + 16)
= -3(4x^2 -16 + 16)
= -12x^2 + 48x - 48
2.
(2x-5)^2 - (2x-5)(2x+5)
= 4x^2 - 2(2)(5)x + 25 - (4x^2 - 25)
= 4x^2 - 20x + 25 - 4x^2 + 25
= -20x + 50
