I see why you posted this. It is kind of an interesting problem. The trick is not to figure out the total perimeters of either polygon. Just use the two sides you are given.

AB:= 12x + 6x =18x

GH:= 8x + 4x = 12x

AB/GH = 18x/12x = 18/12 = 3/2
