Answer: 31.5 unit^2
Step-by-step explanation:
The shape is a rectangle + triangle
So we shall find the area of each shape

Find area of rectangle:

A= b x h
A= 7 x 3=21

Find area of triangle

A= (b x h)/2
A= (7x3)/2=21/2=10.5

Now we just plus the area of each shape then we get the area of the whole shape:

Area of rectangle + Area of triangle= The area of the whole thing

21 + 10.5= 31.5

Answer:

31.5

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the area of this shape we must divide it into 2 parts :

  • Part 1 : the triangle
  • Area= (3*(7/2))/2= 10.5
  • Part 2: the rectangle
  • Area = 7*3 = 21
  • The total area is : A= 21+10.5=31.5
