Answer:

Jesus did not perform many miracles between Chapters 10- 16 of Mark because he was preparing for his own death and making or setting an example for his disciples to follow once He's gone.

Instead of miracles, he gave parables and does things to teach people to achieve greater freedom and be prepared for the Kingdom. He gave these teachings so that even after He's gone, the disciples will be able to lead the people along the right path and help spread the Good News all through the world.

Explanation:

The book of Mark is the second book in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. This book contains 16 chapters in all, containing the miracles done by Jesus and also his parables about the kingdom of God and his death and eventual Resurrection.

Between Chapters 10 and 16, we find only two instances where Jesus performed miracles. In chapter 11: 14, Jesus curses a fig tree for not bearing fruit while Chapter 16 tells of his resurrection after three days in the tomb. Aside from these two, Jesus did not perform any miracles but rather spent his days giving parables about the future, the heavenly kingdom, his glorification in Jerusalem, and his capture and crucifixion.

Jesus did not perform many miracles other than the two most probably because he had to prepare for his own suffering and his death for the sins of the whole human race.

Instead, he focused on teaching the people to stay firm and hold on to the faith, for there will come a time when they too, will be persecuted for their belief in Him. He gave parables about the future, setting examples for his disciples by washing their feet, getting glorified before his death, and having the last supper with his disciples before he was eventually betrayed and crucified. And by doing all these, he is paving a way for his disciples to follow his example and lead His people, "His sheep" along the right path, and prepare them for the Second Coming.
