Technically there are only three people in charge of boosting a child's self-esteem. The two parents, and the child themself. But as the child grows older, they tend to allow others into their emotions allowing others to boost or destroy their esteem. As the child becomes a teenager, the people he/she let into their lives can affect the child's behaviors as well.

the parents are primarily responsible for a young. child's self esteem. Telling the child good job or paying attention lets them know that you care and are listening to what they're saying. A good way to help them is by encouraging them to try new things. This changes as they become a teenager because they have more freedom and don't feel the need to be babied anymore. As they become a teenager they begin to try and experiment on their own.
