Answer:

(a) The acceleration of the car is 5 m/s²

(b) The distance covered by the car in that time is 30 m

Explanation:

Given;

initial velocity of the car, u = 36 km/h = 10 m/s

final velocity of the car, v = 72 km/h = 20 m/s

time for the motion, t = 2 seconds

(a) .The acceleration of the car;

v = u + at

a = (v-u)/(t) \\\\a = (20-10)/(2)\\\\a = 5 \ m/s^2

(b) The distance covered by the car in that time

s = ((v+u)/(2) )t\\\\s = ((20+10)/(2) )*2\\\\s = 30 \ m
