The answer is D. Saprobe! Both detritivores and saprobes feed off dead or decaying organic matter. However, detritivores are ANIMALS and saprobes are defined as ORGANISMS.. which is the identification in the question. Also, the indicated life-form is bacteria since it is “SMALL organisms.”
