How did the fall of the Berlin Wall affected the relationship between the Soviet Union and the United States?​

Answer:

Now Berlin was divided and the borders between East and West Germany ' closed ': there was less likelihood the USA and the Soviet Union would go to war over Berlin. Americans bitterly complained about the building of the wall but as Kennedy said, a wall was better than a war.

So in some ways the building of the wall may have reduced tensions between the USA and the Soviet Union
