Roger’s father knows that Dial It Up sells data plans at $16 for 2 gigabytes and Ring Ring sells data plans at $9 for 1 gigabyte. Use this information to calculate the ratio of the number of gigabytes to the price in dollars for Dial It Up and Ring Ring.

Answer:

Dial it Up charges $32 for 4 gigabytes, and Ring Ring charges $36 for the same amount of data. The difference of the plan prices is $36 – $32 = $4.

From Dial it, we have plans of $16 per 2 gb.

then the ratio is (number of gb you get):price

in this case:

2:16 or we can reduce it to 1:8

this means that per each Gigabyte, you pay 8 dollars. 1:8

Ring Ring has plans of $9 per 1gb

then the ratio of gb to Dollars is 1:9

And the ratio between the prices of the companies is: 8 to 9 or 8:9

which means that in one company you get one thing for 8, while in the other company you get the same thing for 9.
