by using distance formula

√((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

by putting the values of coordinates


d=√((2-(-0.5))^2+(5-(-5))^2)


d=√((2+0.5)^2+(5+5)^2)


d=√((2.5)^2+(10)^2)


d=√(6.25+100)


d=√(106.25)


d=10.3
