The Board of Nursing(BON) serves the people of Texas by making sure that nurses who have licenses to practice meet the required standards to practice in a safe manner so as not to endanger the people of the region.

The Board also helps the nurses in guiding them on the required guidelines, rules and regulations in adopting safety and practicing in a safe manner.

The other nursing and healthcare specialty associations are the links and middle men between the practitioners and the government. They help in making the interests of the practitioners known to the government and are also involved in issuing of training and licenses.
