Write any equation of the line particular to the line given by y=-2x+1 and contains the point (-3,4)

y = 1/2x + 11/2.

Explanation:

I am going to assume that the line is perpendicular to the line where y = -2x + 1.

That means that the slope is 1/2.

So far, you have y = 1/2x + b.

To solve for b, put in the point (-3, 4).

4 = (1/2)(-3) + b

(-3/2) + b = 4

b = 4 + 3/2

b = 4 + 1.5

b = 5.5, or 11/2.

Then, you will have y = 1/2x + 11/2.
