For:

(X1, Y1) = (0, 0)

(X2, Y2) = (5, 0)

finding distance between two points

d=√(5−0)^2+(0−0)^2

d=√(5)^2+(0)^2

d=√25+0

d=√25

for RS d=3

d = 3

For:

(X1, Y1) = (3, 2)

(X2, Y2) = (0, 2)

d=√(0−3)^2+(2−2)^2

d=√(−3)^2+(0)^2

d=√9+0

d=3

Area= length * width

Area=3*5=15
