Explanation:

The length of the arc of the ENTIRE circle is the circumference (C = 2πr).

We only want a 60° section of that circumference which is 60°/360° = 1/6 of the circumference.

The formula for length of an arc is:
s=2\pi r\bigg((\theta)/(360^o)\bigg)

Given r = 17, θ = 60°


s=2\pi (17)\bigg((60^o)/(360^o)\bigg)\\\\\\.\quad =2\pi(17) \bigg((1)/(6)\bigg)\\\\\\.\quad =(17 \pi)/(3)\\\\\\.\quad =\large\boxed{17.8}
