Explanation:

The surface area consists of 2 congruent triangles + 2 congruent sloping rectangles + a rectangular base.

Area of the 3 triangles 1/2*base*height * 2

= base * height

= 14*24 cm^2

Area of the 2 rectangles = 2*25 * 10

= 20*25 cm^2

Area of the base = 14 * 10 cm^2

So total surface area = 14*24 + 20*25 + 14*10

= 976 cm^2.
