Answer:

1.) F(x) = 3^(x+2) - 3

2.) F(x) = 1^x/2 - 2

3.) F(x) = 4^(1/3x)

4.) F(x) = 2^(x - 3) + 4

Explanation:

1.) The graph F(x)= 3^x, left 2 units, and down 3. This is a translation. The translated function will be

F(x) = 3^(x+2) - 3

Note: for x - axis, left is positive while right is negative

2.) The graph f(x)= 1^x/2 translated down 2 units. The translated function will be

F(x) = 1^x/2 - 2

3.) the graph of f(x)=4^x, stretched horizontally by a factor of 3.

That is, it is stretched along the x - axis.

X will be multiply by 1/3. The stretched function will therefore be

F(x) = 4^(1/3x)

4.) The graph of f(x)=2^x up 4 units and right 3 units. --

The translated function will be

F(x) = 2^(x - 3) + 4
