q = - p - 6

5q + 2p + 4 - 3q = - 8 \\ 2q + 2p + 4 = - 8 \\ 2q + 4 = - 8 - 2p \\ 2q = - 8 - 2p - 4 \\ 2q = - 12 - 2p \\ (2q)/(2) = ( - 2p - 12)/(2) \\ q = ( - 2p - 12)/(2) \\ q = - p - 6

Answer:

q = -p-6

Explanation:

=> 5q+2p+4 = 3q-8

(Combining like terms)

=>5q-3q = -2p-8-4

=> 2q = -2p -12

=> 2q = 2(-p-6)

Dividing both sides by 2

=> q = -p-6
