Ag i'm so confused my summer class literally isn't teaching me how to do the work, can someone please help me understand this "suppose F is between E and G. Use the segment addition postulate to solve for x. Then find the length of each segment. EF=2x+4, FG=4, EG=4x+16"

Answer:

Explanation:

According to the question:

EF +FG = EG

so,

2x + 4 + 4 = 4x + 16

Rearrange and solve:

2x+8 = 4x+16

4x+16 = 2x+8

2x = -8

x = -4.

Now substitute x to find each value:

EF = 2x + 4 = -4

FG = 4

EG = 4x + 16 = 0
