Answer:

A: x= -1 or x=3

B: Since the quadratic equation has two real solutions, the graph of the quadratic equation intercepts the x axis at (-1,0) and (3,0)

Explanation:

x^2 -2x -3 =0

Factor

(x-3 )(x+1) =0

Using the zero product property

x-3 =0 x+1 =0

x=3 x=-1

The zeros are

(3,0) (-1,0)

It intersects the x axis at (3,0) (-1,0)
