Area of a rectangle = width × length

⇒ area = 2 × 3

Area of rectangle 2

⇒ area = (5 - 3) × 7

= 2 × 7

= 14 in²

Total area = area of rectangle 1 + area of rectangle 2

= 6 + 14

= 20 in²
